You are going to have a lot more luck from members of this forum if you supply us with some more information about the Machine.

Brand, Model, Serial# and pictures are always nice to help us try and find a solution to your problem.

The milling machine is a 3 year old Grizzly 9902. Looking head on to the machine, there is the gross hand down feed on the right and on the left is the power down feed clutch assembly.

The down feed assembly is on a cross shaft that goes left to right (on the right is the gross down feed handle.)

On the left side the shaft goes through a series of gears, bearings, and washers.

The problem stems from not having a picture or instructions for reassembling the series of gears, bearings and washers on the left side.

In addition, on the left side of the mill, inside at the top of the through hole is a worm gear which drives the power down feed. I cannot seem to get the worm gear to mesh with the gear on the down feed cross shaft.

Go to the grizzly web site and on the left side of the home page find the manual bar. Go to that and you will find a manual and a parts list for your machine in downloadable pdf. Good luck.

Thank you Kingsweld. If a person looks at the manual and the drawing you are referring to you will find a very poorly hand draw schematic. I can't even tell the parts apart. Nor can I find the right order in which they go.

I have also called Grizzly. While their staff is friendly and try to help there is only one person who seems to know anything about the workings of the milling machine but his knowledge is from years of experience and he has only taken apart 3 of these machines in the many years he has worked on metal working machines.

Grizzly does not have an disassembly/assembly manual.

looks like a copy of a bridgeport ..

i would look for manuals for a bridgeport ..and do it from them .
