    not thinking of buying, just curious as to the configuration, searching ads you all know you see all sorts of variations on a theme...
    1963 Boxford...there is one partial photo of a headstock on Tony's UK lathe site but not much else, sort of an in-between design?

    This looks like a (much) modified AUD model. The motor in the top right hand and the separate external gear box driving the lead screw are most definitlely NOT Boxford original.

      Looks like they removed the quick change box on a AUD (under drive)
      and added a quick reversing leadscrew with seperate gear drive motor.
      This was a production setup for multiple parts, perhaps for boring bushes repeatedly as seen
