Anyone else got a youtube channel...

I just uploaded another video today for those interested...

It is just a right angle head on a turret mill face milling a cast iron square

    Precision takes time.

RC nice work. that looks like a handy attachment.
I've always considered one but shipping costs stink for those.
Why did you opt to do it this way and not, say, with a long
endmill? That face looks to be about 2" wide (tall?) or so.

Also, just curious, that plastic you have on the DRO.. that
a whole bag over the thing or just covering the front? I'm
wondering if a bag could cause (heat) issues.

          keep 'em coming!

I have few machining videos on You-Tube

A varied collection of short videos by Evan. Many of these videos deal with machining or astronomy.

My channel is here, just a couple of videos of my turbines that have been linked here in other threads.

I hope to upload new material soon of a new engine that's in the works.

Nice cutting action. Is that a button cutter (round inserts) or a 45؛ lead angle milling cutter?

I noticed it seemed to cut smoother on the first and third pass. Try to always mill down against the table or a vise's solid jaw, as you did in the first and third pass.

I have a YouTube channel with just a couple of annoying videos. Not as nice as your machine, it's old stuff.
