so much for the land of liberty and freedom .
The British and Canadian intelligence services do it as well. In fact, since each country's constitution forbids their respective intelligence agency from spying on their citizens, MI-6, NSA and CIRC have reciprocal collection services through the Echelon program, such that the NSA turns over British intercepts to MI-6, MI-6 turns over American intercepts to the NSA, etc.

    Google "Echelon" and/or Menwith Hill.

By the way, Google, Ebay, Facebook, Yahoo, Amazon et al are tracking you through Flash supercookies. Which is why suggested keyword searches follow you from site to site. If you enable Flashblock is stops it (but makes most of those sites stop working).

You don't actually think that it stops there. The NSA listens to everybody everywhere they can. The US gov. has little respect for foreign borders and laws. In fact this thread has probably has probably tripped there automatic Echelon system and we are being watched even now. Is that a black 'copter I see on over there.

Big brother is out there for real. Be afraid.

Google can track my porn watching all they want. I don't really care.

I'm in Arkansas, but every six months or so there's some funkiness where Google thinks I'm in Australia. I get MUCH different search results then; some of it very useful, but it never shows up in the usual Google search.

Exactly -- I camouflage my illicit activities by downloading copious amounts of porn

Seriously, that's why they have watch lists: there's a veritable ocean of data, and although they can automate the search for keywords and voice signatures, the majority of intercepts still have to be hand sorted.

I'm so boring I'd hate to be the one asigned to watch me. LOL!

There is a simple solution to this. Use Bing.
