WELL after the nasty snow storms wee've had here in Iowa, just getting out on a day thats over 40*f is a good thing. Finally had a day off after going back to work 1/2/4, I have been working 10 hour days and saturdays.I had to catch up on cutting wood cleaning up and rest.Watching snow melt now that is a hobby. but would rather be in shop doing anything, even cleaning.

Ahh, fishing backwaters for some sea trout and Reds, only if I was in Florida still...
Im going to make a carriage stop for my South Bend out of some aluminum. Hmm, on 2nd thought, aluminum does not sound soo good...

I hit the salvage yards looking for more stuff to add to my project list.

That is easy, go out and pat heads and scratch hinders until all are happy, go in and make an onion and limberger on russian rye bread sandwich and then pad off to the shop and work on a project or two. Top it all off by watching the sun set over the valley as the ranchers bovines stroll by. Oh yes, life is good.

    Depends on the race...

I haven't had 8 hours straight to do anything in a long time. I'd either be machining, working on the car, or fixing/maintaining my neglected equipment.

Gophers are still hiding, so I can't go gopher sniping. Knee is too sore to do any machining so I guess I will curl up in the down coforter and wait for the cats to put me to sleep.

Hmmm...today I rebuilt the liquid lock and vaporiser on my forklift, moved a few things, went and picked up a few more, came home and unloaded them and drats ran out of time for machining.

    I'd be machining.
However, there are the rare times when I don't have anything to build/modify/repair, or, just do not feel like playing in the shop Then I play with electronics or just read

    Mmmmmmm.....boooooooks!

When the grandkids have gone home and the wife is off shopping, and silence has decended upon the house. I grab a good book or mag and do some constricting reading.
