      I'd be awful careful where I landed in that part of Africa at present.

      Still they kept it aloft for 17 hours and did cross from one continent (Europe) to another (Africa).

        Boeing is working on a solar powered plane intented to permanently stay aloft. It will do what some satellites do now at vastly lower cost.

          Well not exactly "permanently" but they are saying it could stay aloft for as long as 5 years at a stretch which is still quite remarkable to say the least!
