  • Adcock and Shipley 1ES

Can anyone advise me of the approximate weight of an Adcock and Shipley 1ES horizontal mill?
I looked at one today that I might be able to acquire for "around scrap value". Other than benign neglect it is in pretty good shape.

    Thanks
    Pete

Pretty sure I've got the sales literature for one somewhere. Shout if you'd like a scan

          Pete,

Just as John says - around 600Kg. Fairly top heavy, bear in mind when bringing it home.

I have one, nice little machine. Power feed to the table only, and in one direction only.

Does the one you're looking at have the dovetailed overarm, and a vertical head? both he horizontal and vertical spindles are ISO40 tapers - lots of cheap tooling available.

            Hello

Could I be so cheeky in asking for a copy of the manual/Publication too please?.

I have just brought 2 of these, one needs some work doing to the electrics plus I need to move them both.

            Thank you.
            Alan
