  • Sort of OT, Tubing Bender

So I bought this tubing bender to make a fuel line for my daughters car.

    Superior Tool Tubing Bender

Seems to work fine but I have a question. You can just about see in the pic that there is an R and an L marked on the handle. The instructions don't mention them. Generally speaking the operation seems very straight forward but I'm wondering what the R and L marks are for? Any ideas?

By the way, it's rivoted together so I can take it apart and reposition; so it isn't related to that possibility.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

The L is the normal line to line up on, with the center of the bend measured from the left hand end of the tube as it is placed in the bender. The R is when you are "back bending", with the center of the bend measured from the right end of the tube. There should also be a tick mark for the center of a 45 degree bend.
