    Just an update on my welded mower spindle. It worked and I finished mowing the grass. No problems and I did hit a piece of sidewalk with it and it didn't launch.

    Thanks for all the input on this. I used 7018 stick weldrods on it and left it cool naturally without any help. The turned picture isn't the last one that was welded. I did fill the end to get a complete clean-up. Turned it to .620 and single point threaded it on my SB that I converted to a model A from a C by putting on a QC gearbox. Boot

      You hit a sidewalk? I would say you're a clumsy bastard but that's John's job.

        Nice job! That's not where I envisioned the fix. You should be fine with that. There's not a lot of stress on that area (threads) except tension from the nut. Way to go and thanks for the pictures.
