  • OT motors

Was at a customers oiling and greasing machines and fixing what they break and went into the other part of there business, saw some brand new Baldor motors 1/2 HP 110 Volt 7,500 RPM, but they only have a 5/16 shaft, they run a mixer off these. Just thought that I'd throw this out there.

    Odd voltage/speed.

maybe they were DC motors? Fastest 60hz AC motor is 3450 nominal RPM.......

Universal Motors,(Series motors), they will run on AC or DC.
        RPM restricted by loading/friction etc.
        Baldor owned by ABB now.
        Max.

Didn't know they made universal motors, I know they make induction and DC.

Those would be universal, which I would have "filed" under DC anyhow.
