  • Free 9 x 20 lathe belts

Too bad there is no for sale forum here - could supplement my tool fund - oh well.
I have five new Gates 5M710 belts that came with a lathe that I acquired, lathe has since been sold.
So there is one thing left to do....give them away.
Since I saw Bob Fisher's post - I searched my shop and found them.
So Bob gets the first belt.
Other 4 are up for grabs.
    State your desire here.
When all five are spoken for, I would like for the new owners to PM me with their ship to address. Please follow directions as I am only making one trip to post office. So be patient.
    Merry Xmas.
    Tom

Tom, if you still have some I'll take a couple. I had trouble finding them and I'm using one that's too wide right now. Finding I spend more time on the other lathe because of it.

Neonman - yes you can have one, let's not get greedy. Got to save some for three others.

Please send me one too. PM your paypal address and I'll cover the shipping. No Paypal? No problem. I'll gladly drop a few bills in the mail if you provide an address.

If you still have the steady or follower rest, I'd be interested in them too.

At the end of the project, there is a profound difference between spare parts and extra parts.

Dan, you get the third belt, two more left.
Not to worry about shipping costs, my treat.
          No other lathe parts available.

Tom, a gracious offer indeed, and much appreciated as well. I too, would be more than glad to cover shipping. Thank you again, Bob F.

Generous offer indeed. Unfortunately I need a poly-Vbelt!

I don't know if any are left, but if they fit my 1925 Southbend 11" x 5' southbend lathe (leather belt powered) I'm all in. I'm sure you wouldn't have the slightest idea if they fit though and neither do I! Happy new years by the way to everybody!

                    Ooops.

Please take my name off the list. I'm using the longer ones on mine.

Machine, this will not fit your South Bend.
                      No problem, Dan.
Guido, you will get one too. Do not worry about shipping.
Three are spoken for - two more left.....

It appear that my lathe uses that very belt-
I seldom do anything within the scope of logical reason and calculated cost/benefit, etc- I'm following my passion-

If you want a belt, it is yours. By your post I am not sure that you are wanting it or not...
