  • Free South Bend manuals

I have a big 3 ring binder full of original South Bend manuals covering most if not all of the lathes and the shaper dated from the 1940's I believe. Since I traded off my SB's it is simply taking up space on my book shelf and I'd like to see it find a good home.

If you can use the information just PM me so we can make arrangements. All I ask is for is reimbursement of the shipping and it should fit in a USPS medium flat rate box.

That was fast. The manuals have a tentative new home.

A generous offer to start the New Year Stan.

For those who missed it, I ran across this link in my Favorites the other day. It has quite a few of the South Bend offerings. It makes for some interesting browsing.

For instance, did you know that South Bend sold plans and castings for shop projects including locomotives, live steam and IC engines?

There are some other items of interest on the site, but it appears not all links are working. The fellow who was developing it must be one of us, he is a fan of Doc Nickles Whiteboard.
