    Hello all,

Matty here I need help with my excello 602 mill. I had the motor rebuilt because it was smoking while I was cutting a .45 slide. Got it rebuilt. No problem there. The machine is used and has given good service. However I'm having a problem getting the drive belt back on the quill shaft. It seems too short and wide. The belt sits up proud in the engine pulley and really deep in the quill pulley. I got it reassembled once and I couldn't get the speed control arm to seat down. Could the previous owners put a differnt drive belt on it to " make mission " and it's just been working up untill now? the belt that is on it is a notched flat type. It seems the machine calls for a " V " type. Any thoughts from the experts?

That is a Vari-Speed Pulley if it is the original.
If you post whether it is the 1.5hp or the 2hp, I can give you the belt No's.
OK I have the No's, it is Goodyear 2322V364 for the 2HP and 1922V321 for the 1.5HP.
    Max.
