  • V13 Steal

Sorry .. just had to post this CL ad for anybody near CT .. this is a
relabeled Emco V13 for 2400 bucks and it looks very nice.

Its not a V13.. although it is green.

I have a Maximat v13... and that lathe looks nothing like my v13 below.

    Its a 16" Voest..probably a DA210 ,225...Quite a bit bigger than a v13.......though Still very desirable and a very nice lathe at that price.

Sure is! nice for someone close by.... Freight and rigging would add $2k+ to here! Even then.. still a decent price for Seattle.

hmm ... yea. I was just quoting the UK lathe database site.

            quote:
Manufactured in Linz-Donau, Austria by the Vِest Company (now part of the vast Vِest-Alpine Group) the DA Series of lathes were, apart from a re-badged Emco V13 sold as the DA160

            here's the link
            http://www.lathes.co.uk/voest/

And IF it is .. it would be a great find ... hidden in a lousy worded ad

I think its a re sprayed machine.

              lots of grey primer showing.

Would have been nice to see the original condition

That's an unusual drive system,V-belts between the HS spindle and six speed motor/gearbox.
I just need one more tool, just one!

That's how my Polamco TUM35 is set up. The lower gearbox is bigger than found in many cars! In fact.. much of that lathe looks similar; maybe not surprising, IIRC... Voest designed the lathe for Polamco.
