For those of you who might have trepidations about starting what might be a long term project, I offer this as inspiration.

I found the spinning lathe interesting, manufactured from an auto rear end, powered by a John Deere Model B. It shows the innovation that has gone into this project. It appears to be first class work.

Good Golly Miss Molly, that is a project of mammoth proportions. I am guessing that he didn't build it all by himself.

The home page states it has been one man's undertaking for over a decade. Few of the photos show anybody present, those that do appear to be the same man. While I don't doubt that he had the occasional help of friends and family when heavy lifting was involved (there are a couple of photos of carrying the assembled fuselage out that include Mom & Dad lending a hand), I would still assume that the preponderance of the work is that of Mr. Bally.

I do see what looks to be about a 12" or so conehead lathe in a couple of photos, but haven't seen a milling machine.
