  • Green Bear 12" box & pan (finger) brake cheaper than 12" regular brake? Why?

I am looking at G0556 vs G7147, and wondering, is the price difference only due to the difference in thickness capacity of 18 vs 20 ga? Does anyone have one of these who would care to comment on quality and function? I need a small brake like that for knocking up 16mm model locomotive tanks and such. I do not have the room or desire for a 48" brake.

It appears to me that one is a simple brake and the other (more expensive one) is a finger brake. More to manufacturing a finger brake and it is more capable.

Edit: My error, I was looking at total cost not base price. I have no idea why the base price might be lower on the finger brake.

I've had the 24" model for a few years now.
Finish is pretty good and it operates quite nicely.
On mine the "fingers" do not entirely match up exactly but it hasn't translated into poor quality bends.
