I am extending my crossfeed shaft and making some new dials for my SB9, so I figured it would be a good time to reconsider the locking method.
Other than the standard "thumb screw in the dial" that bears down radially to the screw shaft, I have noticed two other locking mechanisms:

I'd appreciate hearing others' experiences with these types of dial locks, ease of use, reliability etc.
