    It looks like a UK registration plate, but IF the first three letters are NIL, as they appear to be, I don't think it is.

    NIL would be a Northern Ireland registration (Enniskillen), but I don't think they ever used the letter at the end, indication year of first registration, in Northern Ireland. It was used for the whole of mainland Britain.
    H signified 1969-70.

    I'm sure I remember vehicles with that area above the radiator grille which looks as though it should carry an illuminated badge, but can't think what they were.

        If anybody wants to drive by and see this Leyland motorhome, I noted its approximate location in Norway -- Route E16 near Neskollen, not far from the intersection with Fylkesveg 477. Unfortunately I don't have exact GPS coordinates, but anybody in that neighborhood is sure to know about it -- it is visible from E16.
