  • Time flies

My eldest grand daughter on my daughters side is just over a year old.
Sorting some books out last night and a photo fell out of one.
Not really off topic as it's a small racing bike I built for the kids.

That's my daughter on there at the same age my grand daughter is now.
Frightening thing is I can remember everything about building this.

Nostagia isn't what it used to be.........

Of course you may not realise that the statement "time flies like an arrow" is a classic example of the problem faced by computer text recognition. Do we have time that proceeds in the manner that an arrow does? Or, do we have a particular breed of "time flys" that are fond of arrows? Or, are we just getting old?

Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.

Entropy and all that makes it more of an "arrow" variety.

                      John,

Do you still live in that same house where that photo was taken?

I keep my motorcycle endorcement on my license. I also still have my riding jacket. I now realize that the last time I rode was 1985. Geez, thanks John.

"Yea, but some day I'll get another bike."

                          Mike,
No that was two houses down the line.
That one was 8 years old when we got it, stayed 5.
Then got a brand new house, stayed 4.
Now got one built in 1901 and been here 15 years.
Can't move as I'm working from the old stable at the side.
Next move will be a sell up and wooden box.
