  • Micro-V belt suggestions needed

I'm ready to install a flat drive belt on my 1904 Seneca Falls 9" lathe, and I'm having a hard time finding a supplier for the 103" outside length I need.

The flat pulleys are a little over an inch wide, so an 8 groove, 3/4" wide flat Micro-V J section belt might work.

If I can't find one that long, I suppose I'll need to drop the entire counter shaft and motor down from the ceiling a little.

Any of you know of a supplier that might have these? I've looked at the McMaster Carr site and don't see anything that long. I suppose I can always go back to the original leather belt, but would prefer the quieter neoprene style belt.

    Thanks,

    Hi Danl
    Would something like this work:
    http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/1030k6.html
Or if you can make do with 100 inches maybe:

      Perfect !

Thanks, Rich. The 1025K6 should work, and the price was great.

          Hi Dan
Glad I could help. I ordered replacement belts for everything in my garage from them 4 years ago, very happy with their service and the product.
That's one fine looking lathe you have there.
