  • question for Sir J or others in Europe

    I get left over or scrap from the ships I work on .
    The stainless is the material I'm wondering about :
    It holds up as good, if not better the SAE 316 , but machines like C1144 or stressproof
    i.e. really easy as compared to SAE 316 or 304.
    You guys have a name or number for this?

    303 ? Thats free cutting but not as good corrosion wise as 304 or 316
    .

      1.4305 is free machining stainles and contains sulfur. very similar to aisi 303.
