If any one has one of these can you tell me the full set up info please, i need to know the tool post position in relation to the size of the ball to make ? thanks in addvance.

To generate a true spere, any ball turning device needs to meet these parameters:
The tool tip is on spindle center.
The radius is set to the diameter required; and/or the tool arrives at the final radius via articulation, usually by screw.

If a close approximation is OK, use touch off. Turn the piece to req'd OD. Face the end. Move the tool towards the chuck the req'd OD, score a line.
Set the ball turner pivot at spindle center, and mid-point of the length by swinging the tool from face to score line. Lock the carriage.
Back off the cross slide and advance, whittling the ends off first.
