  • Current controlled relay for 110v switching?

I don't know why I'm having such a hard time searching this, too common keywords I guess. All I want is to make an box with a wall plug, a relay, and 2 outlets, so when I switch on my orbital sander the box can switch on the attached shop vac.

I bought one like it from Sears for $20 years ago.

Bingo! Thanks. A little pricey, but time is money...

EDIT: elsewhere on Amazon it's $35.95 shipped, not $52. More like it.

I have a big canister type vacuum that has an electric receptacle on the front. The tool being used gets plugged into that receptacle on the vacuum. When the tool is switched on or off the vacuum switches on or off. Very handy function.

Dont nean to steal your tread but I need 2 wireless wall swithes to run 4 400 watt MH lights. After I put in the switches I put the Pacemake in front of them & have to use ny cane to reach them. Is there something that I can replace the switches with & have a remote normal looking pair of swithces in an easier place? Thanks!

You can do wireless, power line (signal sent over the power), IP or even Android (from you phone).

Many available... here's a simple cheap example http://www.amazon.com/Etekcity%C2%AE...e+power+switch

Watch out for the start-up surge from the MH.

That is a very easy fix. I did it recently in a bedroom for the overhead light. The wireless wall switch looks identical to a normal light switch. There is a tiny receiver that mounts inside the original wall switch or you could remove the original switch and just use a face plate. The brand I used is Insteon which is also available in the US. Around 35 Euros.

Just bought that one to control a big ShopVac behind my mill. No more running around to start and stop it. Works great.

You want to search for "tool vacuum switch" or "saw vacuum switch".
