Looking for old friend and student from Alaska

My memory is not what it used to be for people names. I met a young man last week from Fairbanks Alaska and he needs a local mentor to teach him scraping. I had a student about 20 years ago who lived up there and had a small shop and also made small bush plane engine heaters. He also was a machinist at a power plant that could only be reached by plane or boat. I believe he is retired now. Does anyone know him? Or is he a member? PM me please. Rich

I know of three up there, but the one that might fit your bill is a fellow by name of Jon Holmgren. If he's not the guy, I'd bet money he knows who you're talking about.
