They talk about touchy-feely stuff like that all the time.

      Oh, heck, I'll play.......

No doubts: "Golden Pheasant" in the regular lager beer category......

We'll see how long this stays open.....

Guinness or Newcastle brown ale, warm if possible (ok not warm!)
Joking, gave up booze, the only brewed stuff I drink is tea

For me it's an IPA. I won't drink the same brews women and children drink. Best IPA in the land is Sierra Nevada's Celebration Ale.

Racer 5 IPA or Old Rasputin. I like beer with flavor. Started when I got used to beer in New Zealand. Before that I drank Bud.

I like heavy, dark, sweet brews. One of my favorites was Dragon Stout, from Jamaica. Another I really enjoyed was an ESB:

Guinness only on tap & only in the UK, Double Bock from Germany with the plastic goat hung on the bottle. If you can't see thru it & it's heaver enough a spoon stands straight up in the glass it should be good

                      Dark ales are very good.

Problem is, ones made here tend to be too light, or just lost in the crowd.

Import, mostly from the UK, seems to be re-oriented at the "American taste" whatever that is (do Americans have taste?), and aren't as nice as back in their real place of origin. That or they have been "Starbucked" for sale here... enhanced a bit, and not always in a good way.

Used to be some decent imports, McEwan's (if I have the name right), some others. Guinness I just don't trust, although there was a place in Orlando that had supposedly real on-tap Guinness, allegedly because it was run by a Britisher.... Wasn't bad by the pint, after a pint, but AFAIK they would just be having to get it through the local distributor, so who knows what it was....

Can it be real ale if it has no ropes?

McEwans might have been one I really enjoyed, probably their Scotch Ale:

                            "OT" ?? "Q" ??

Posted to sort out the folks not aware that home-brewed beer far surpasses any of the pi$$ touted by media ads.

                            I make my own. imp

Optimator or Salvator if you can get them in the big bottles.
