When we went to Ireland !st morning the lady at the B&B asked if I wanted pudding, being on vacation I said sure then she asked if I wanted white or black so I said both. It was good but puuding in the US is not like it is in the UK, nuff said.

Rhinegeist Truth IPA. Very tasty and 7.2%. Pretty hard to find outside of Cincinnati though.

Bells Oberon is a great beer. Brewed as a summer brew in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Today is the first day of Oberon season and I plan to sample this years batch.

Has there been a rebirth of real ales in the USA in recent years? When I last was there in 86, there was only crap like Coors, Budweiser and other lager types, all lacking any character.

When I lived in England for a while, I was introduced to .. bitter shandies.

Kind of like lager and 7Up. I'm not a real beer drinker and the 7Up nicely takes away the bite of the beer.
                        John Titor, when are you.

There are literally HUNDREDS of good beers to choose from. Just too many micro-brewers out there.
My wife got me the "Beer of the month club", and I tried many, many different beers. ALL GOOD.
However, I have a taste for wheat beer.
My favorite "Mass produced" beer is FRANZISKANER.

I can't say I like wheatbeer, it is popular on the continent, the one I tried comes from Belgium an acquired taste if ever there was one.

Anymore there are so many good ones from which to choose. I frequently order an IPA, stout, or imperial stout, but I like it all. And a shout-out to Dogfish Head brewery for their 90 minute IPA.
