  • Atlas lathe again

Ready to make some Acme nuts for the cross slide on my 10 f. Bought the 1/2 x 10 tap, but need to know the hole size. There are suggestions that say 90% engagement for Acme. .5 x .9= .45. The math is right, but is that hole size correct? I have lots of Durabar scrap to make them.

Joel has alot of stuff but is pretty proud of it & most time the new stuff is cheaper at Clausing/Atlas in Kalamazoo where he buys it.

Barts: thanks for the link, and for those who worried, yes I bought a LH tap.
