    A lot also depends on how attractive the things behind the lock are. Can't read it, but that brown sign visible behind the gate could be enough to spark enough interest to make someone want to climb over and check it out.

    Another thing that's always made me laugh is when you see a very strong and well built gate, with nothing but a wire fence to keep someone from going around it. A neighbor has one like that, 6inch posts cemented in with double pasture gates on them chained together with a massive chain and lock, with nothing but grass on both sides to keep anyone from going around. A couple of T posts, dog chain and a keep out sign would be as effective and leave a lot more money in your pocket.

      Biohazard and nuke placard.
      Won't keep out Bubba though

        I know too many honest people who have been motivated to learn about locks. Locks don't keep out all the honest folks either.

        Remember, locks don't keep out many of the dishonest people.
