Putting a location in your profile would help.
Posting this request on Practical Machinist (even Chaski) in the classifieds would yield a higher success rate.

Frank Kleinworth has new and used and aftermarket parts for Colchester lathes.
I think he is in Huston TX.
            [email protected]
I bought a gear for my 17" Colchester from him.
It was $1200. Clausing was more.

Doozer was that the gold one with diamond teeth. It seems to be a bit of an issue with Colchester parts, if you can possibly make them if not try [email protected] I'm trying to find steadies for my 61/2" Master probably have to make them when a desperate need arises

I could have brazed in the teeth and re-cut them,
but I was still working in my Van Norman 22LU
at the time. I paid $1500 for the lathe, which
was in very good shape otherwise, so I figured
spending the money on the new gear was worth it
seeing as I got the lathe so cheap. The 3"+ through
the spindle is nice and it is a gap bed to boot!

I only gave 300 with loading fees for mine from a action had to drive down to Texas to pick it up but even if it does cost me a arm and a leg for the few bits I need it will be ok over all everything else on it looks to be in good working order
