OT, belated: New addition to the family

It was brought to my attention in another thread that I never posted about something major that happened back in December. I don't like posting off-topic stuff, but in this case I'm happy to make an exception.

On December 18 we welcomed little Elise into the world. Itty bitty, but healthy and cute as a button. Here she is, now, at 7 months:



She is our third, but our first girl. It's been a really fun experience. She's the happiest baby I've ever seen, always with a smile that lights up the room. I readily admit that she already has Dad completely wrapped around her little finger.

Wonderful, and great picture. I recently welcomed the first grandson - after two older girls. This is going to be and adventure for all of them I expect.

Congratulations to the both of you, I have 3 also, 2 nags and one fridge raider, I hated the maternity ward more than any I've been to, scared ****less is a reasonable approximation, I would happily stand under a 500 ton ladle and sick a lance up it but my knees went to jelly in there, stress on tap.
One nurse even gave me the gas and air, not bad either!

When my now 7 year old daughter was cranky as a baby, one surefire cure was to fire up the lathe and make chips. It fascinated her.

Congrats to all! Kid are a blast but grandkids are the best. Our 3 year old grandson thinks Grandma & grandpa are the best things he's ever wrapped around his finger. My wife worked in OB for years & loved it. Guy's used to bring in those huge VHS cameras to film the birth, like what are you going do invite friends for a cookout & viewing? She was the one the doctor handed the baby to & was there for several of Alis kids births. Our 2 sons were born naturally on the same day 2 years apart & I married here on her Birthday 35 years ago last week. Again Congrats! Kids are what it's all about.

Congrats to both you. Kids are such a blessing and it's a miracle everyday to watch them grow, learn, love, and laugh. They really teach you about love. Crying is ok too I guess .

With our third child on the way I've been thinking about putting grease zerks on the fridge door ... my wife and I finally broke down and purchased a Costco membership. Friends of ours have 4 children, and they continually remind us that we are going to be outnumbered.

What a cutie! You still have plenty of lathes left to give them one each, so don't stop at 3 i have 2 girls and they're awesome, just not looking forward to the teen years.
