Upgraded Transport System for Battery Charger

Schumacher, nice chargers. (Many people do not realize it, but Don Schumacher, the top fuel and funny car legend, is the man behind the brand.)

Was this unit a rescue in need of repair or was it just a matter of eliminating sources of irritation (low reach handle and smooth surface only wheels?)

Since I am speaking my mind today, I'll just come out and say I'd have positioned the female receptcle with a downward orientation. Other than that, atta boy ...

The charger was new but cursed those things for years,female plug just a blank for holding cord.The wheel system I have mentioned in previous posts are the ones in pic.

I used nylatron as seen in 2nd pic,I machined them down so clamps are in relaxed position so springs stay fresh.

Just about lost my coffee reading this lol!!No BF never thought of the half handle bar or even a brake,just wanted to be able to walk full strides with out those things catching your heels!!!

Good job, this is the way it should have come from the store.

Why is it that a lot of tools that are meant to be portable and used in a somewhat industrial setting come with tiny wheels, handles at a hieght meant for small children, and 3 foot long cords? It's almost like they don't expect or want this stuff from being used.

Actually the handle came from a golf bag cart and the wheels from some garden cart that a scored at the dump for free.

the modification I make to all of my battery chargers is to buy a 50 foot extension cord, chop off the female part, and hard wire the long cord to the charger. buying an extension cord is cheaper than buying the same length of wire, the male plug is a bonus.
