The Kennametal 10mm carbides were 9.5mm and recoated by Kennametal, I am more than happy with them. They might be more trouble if used in a CNC machine.

All good points posted here. But what I was looking for is a company that sells reground ones and has a list on their website. That way it's easier to select dua, flute length, overall length, flute qty, etc. I have also found that companies that sell them only bother with the good name brand ones and they sold for the price of an equalivant Chinese new one....

        Hi,

Resharps are like gold for CNC machines. I find them far more useful than new ones because its much easier to control tool size.

Here's an outfit that does large quantity resharpening, or at least they used to. They may have used re-sharpened for sale, I don't know.

          US Tool Grinding Inc
          2000 Progress Drive
          Farmington, MO 63640
          Phone: (573) 431-7945

To get a reasonable price you had to send them a couple dozen of exactly the same end mill. That way they would setup an automatic grinder and process the whole batch in one setting.

They were the only place I could find to correctly sharpen our 3/8" spiral flute taps. Some I would send them were broken off right at the tip. They would find the shortest of my batch, cut all the others to that length and sharpen. We would end up with shortened taps which were fine for our use. Back in the day those taps were around $20 each, maybe $6 to resharpen in batch lots.

Interesting... But, very few end mills.

I called Steve to ask about something else listed on his site. Apparently, what you see listed is all that will ever be available. He's not buying any more inventory.
