  • Help: what are welding cable connectors called?

Looking to purchase the plug-and-twist male & female connectors for welding cables or plasma cutters. No luck looking online without the correct name.

Tweco and Dinse are the two biggies, IIRC.

In the USA, Tweco or Dince are the main brand names.
Not sure what country you come from.

Tweco twist locks are American style.
DIN twist locks are European style.
The nutpicks of the world wanted to try and pronounce "DIN"
because they thought they needed to, and the conversation
went something like this..." Hey man, I need to buy some of
those DINs connectors." And then, because if you sound-out
a word to spell it, it must be right, right? And the bastardized
DINCE was born, incubated from ignorance, and made part of
the language by slack jawed passive aggressive nudniks.

              Umm...

That'll be DINSE, the company founded by Herr Wilhelm Dinse, then.

Just go into your shop, move some of the heavy machinery against the door, huddle down on the floor, and the SJPANs won't be able to get you, Doozer.

Makes one wonder if someone, somewhere may be a bit dense...
