I brought the last three issues of HSM to read during downtime while traveling and now machining and my home shop is stuck in my brain.

"Just look at that beautiful sunset!"
"Yeah, the way the light shines gold on the water reminds me of turning brass..."
Then I get the evil eye...

I should be enjoying time away. I should be enjoying time with my wife. I should be conversing about things other than swarf and my next project. HSM, what have you done to me?!?!?!?!?!

Hope you are all having a great time on your projects. I'll try not to think of mine. 8 days, 21 hours, 37 minutes, and 48 seconds. 8 days, 21 hours, 37 minutes, and 47 seconds....

If You think that is bad, just remind the Wife that 30,000' that Our lives depend on the barest skin of oil between two parts turning at 99% of their ability for hours upon end. Also when taking a ride on a cable car really high up there, make sure to point out the lousy welds on the cable car. Free blood pressure check for the Wife without going to the Doctors.

Have you help you load or unload a pc of equipment. Sometimes you need a 2nd set of eyes so I got my wife who never goes out to the to help watch as I unloaded a mill. When it started swinging a little she starts screaming & ran to the house waving her arms over her head. Last time I asked her.
