Thanks, John. Ordered book today, looks like a good one. Comes with a CD for CNC "simulation".

Bdarin,
One of the better ones is The CNC Workbook by Frank Nanfara as one of the co authors.
This has a simulator disk included so you can see what you are doing. Reasonably expensive, about $40 or so.
Do a search on http://www.abebooks.com with Nanfara as the author and you will find 5 hits.

CNC
I, like many of you, am stuck in the 50's with machining technology. Old low tech equipment, etc. So can anyone recommend a good book on CNC? What it is, and isn't; how it works, what G-code is, etc. To me, CNC is like space travel....I've heard of it but don't the first thing about how to do it.Tags: None
