  • I need some help on my next project. Please.

I found this drawing and I'm having trouble coming up with the dimensions, also with what material to use. I'm thinking that aluminum would be easier on my little milling machine, but I'm having a time deciding on Billet or Ford's Military grade aluminum.

I think, for that drawing, you're going to need a really good CAD package, maybe Fusion 720 or something. Can't help with the aluminium grade as I make my own Fixer Billet.

      I was thinking semi-solid works.

Looks like three separate problems, makes me giddy just looking at them.
Your main problem is mixing up metric and imperial dimensions.

How would a 3D printer handle a drawing like that?

They have those at Harbor Freight now so you really do not need to make one. China copied the original. They come in powder coated, anodized or cadmium plated.

You should make one out of unobtainium.

And the nuts should be made from Thinium

A good slicer already cuts across dimensions so you are good.

I always wanted a welding stinger that looked like the north end of a south bound chicken. Often my welds look like somebody pointed the wrong end of a chicken at the joint and squeezed until something came out. Might as well look the part.

                            OK guys,

Whats it for and what tooling does it work with? Just a green HSM and always like to learn. If HF has it what do they call it?

Another problem I'm having with it is, I can only look at it for just a few seconds at a time, because it twists my mind, and make my eyes cross.
