a friend of mine is going to court next week, he had a similar bracket on his bike, he got 2 tickets. The licencse plate bracket is illegal and his inspection sticker was not attached properly to the bike. The plate bracket according to the state police, has to be in the middle of the bike, the plate must be in the right orientation and flat as well as lit. So it can be read with the optical scanner. And the inspection sticker has to permanently attached to the bike frame, not on a flag tag, screwed to the bike. Both of these are equipment violations and he will pay the fine, but no points
