    Lockheed L1049 Constellation

    And so it begins... word of warning, this will be a very slow moving thread, don’t expect consistent updates, due to my career and toy budget.
    This should give you an idea on the size...


    The plans call for split flaps... Totally unacceptable, real thing had Fowler’s, so will mine. That will be the first mini project...

          So the plans are 1/2 size (plane will be twice as large)!

            Very ambitious project to say the least!

            You may have already seen this in some of the research that you've undoubtedly already done for this project, but I'll include it anyway in case it was missed.
            Hopefully this video will give some insight into the Fowler flap system as it pertains to your project.

              Nice project and a very ambitious build is ahead of you. The biggest RC plane kit I've built is a Giant Stinger powered with a twin 70cc. Nowadays, ARFs are the only planes I have time for.

                Never mind your time or budget, that's a LOT of printing. What do you power it with?

                  1/2 size???? I HOPE NOT!!!

                  I wanted to put four gas 4 strokes on it, even radials, but after looking at the plans, will have to go with electrics to get the full scale look I want, as gas engines will not fit inside the cowlings without some stuff sticking out. May add sound systems to it so it sounds like the real thing.
