  • OT maybe......Stainless clips for plating Nickle...

I know copper, steel, etc. can't be used in a nickle acetate bath because of contamination. What about stainless steel clips and wires??

    Thanks,
    Pete

I'm pretty sure it would be ok if clean. The various methods I've seen use alligator clips with no ill effects.

What you plating? Love the look of nickel...

I have less experience with nickle, but with zinc, stainless seems to work fine. I use titanium bars and wire, but haven't found a reasonable source for titanium clips.
