This may have been posted before but if not here are some links for Firefox and Chrome extensions that will work to make Photobucket images visible again.
I downloaded the Firefox version and it works well.

And how long before PB blocks those solutions? I don't really have any animosity towards them. It's their house, their rules. But neither do I feel the need to favor them by going out of my way to look at their ad links which brings them in some money.

Unbelievable.............. I thought all my pics going back for the last 5 years were deleted by PB.
I went back and checked some of my old posts here going back a couple years and my pics are there.
Now...... I have to wonder like BC mentioned, how long before they PB blocks the hack?? or is it perfectly OK??

Oh....... thanks for the add on.

Probably more expensive for them to go and delete them than just leave them there.

They did not delete, they may have limited your ability to get at them or do anything with them.

I just left mine, figuring that maybe the fix would work and people could still see them.

PB has been messaging me several times a week, touting new, better, "better than last week", "even better than that" deals. No possible way am I EVER going to use PB again, no matter what sort of deal they give. I think they are flailing around as they slowly go down the tubes......

Thanks for the link. I'll use it until PB nullifies it.

They found out it's hard to start charging for something that they gave away for free for years,DUH!

They could easily fix their problems by offering their service including third party linking for a REASONABLE yearly charge and then simply make the thing work right.Of course now it will be an uphill climb to repair the damage caused by their idiotic flailing to make a buck.
I just need one more tool, just one!

You're welcome. The first thread that I tried it on was this one, [ http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net/thr...ling-Gun-Start ] and I was able to save the pics to my hard drive.
Hopefully it will work for quite a while, time will tell.

PB screwed the pooch. Everyone knows it and now they are circling the drain.

I get a lot of emails from them to. I wouldn't waste any more time with them after what they pulled.
Besides, they constantly keep changing things just when you start to get used to how things work.

I used a Chrome fix when someone posted it many months ago & it still works great. I just looked a Brian's spider in the 1st pic in Shop Made tools.

From what I know, you can still use it for free to store and view your own pictures. You have to pay to link the pictures in third party sites.
You can still sign up for a "free and useless account".

OK, that would answer the question as to why the pics are still there.

                            thanks - worked for me

BC, you are very accepting. I've a LOT of animosity toward them, what they did was a global cheap sucker punch, a comparison with the burning of the library of Alexandria is not entirely amiss given the wealth of human knowledge placed with them at their invitation. With real leadership, there were so many better ways they could have moved forward.

I would not disagree with any of that. And yes, I removed my entire account by choice. It may be their rules but I'm still allowed to say "no thanks" and leave home....
