Cool. Anyone familiar with this seller or this 5C collet set? I'm thinking of grabbing this set if it seems reasonable.

Just pulled the trigger. I've been wanting a complete 5C set up to 1" and with the new 5C rack arriving soon my current sparse set would look silly in the full 65+ holder rack

That's CDCO. I've purchased from them on Ebay and through their online catalog. They did better on my last catalog order but shipping is high--They tack on $7-$8 to put stuff in a box. I also got my 5C collet chuck from them and quite happy with it.

Thanks for the heads up. I was planning to buy a high capacity lithium pack for my Ryobi tools, which was only about $30, so I added a set of security bit tools, a Sawzall pruning blade, and a battery and charger for my friend's B&D Firestorm hex tool driver. Saved $12 on $80 worth of stuff.

My Kurt DX6 came in today. I emptied my piggy bank on that so I'll have to wait for the next "sale".

It was pouring rain when the UPS truck came. The driver still carried the box in and set it inside the door. I'll need a dolly to get it to the shop but he handled it like a loaf of bread. It's still in the box so no pictures yet. I was working on a QCTP tool holder for my knurling tool when the storm blew in this morning. I'll get pictures of both tomorrow.

Thats funny. I bought the same one (BS-1 DIVIDING HEAD SET W 6" CHUCK & TAILSTOCK) on that day because of your discount code. It is a Precision Matthews brand. I went to pick it up off my porch and almost couldn't lift it LOL That dude is dense. It was 450 after the discount. JR

Has anyone else received an email for 50% discounts on eBay purchases, after using the 15% code? I got one with the following information:

                  From: eBay Recommends <[email protected]>
                  To: [email protected]
                  Subject: =?UTF-8?Q?Paul,_50%_discounts_for_you=F0=9F=92=A1?=
                  ...
                  href="http://e-promosales.com/saveu4881e"
                  ...
I think it may be bogus click-bait.

That looks sketchy. I did not receive one. JR

Oh, Paul. My entire dad's side of the family is from Cockeysville. Been in MD sense the 1700s.

The domain was registered only one month ago:

                      https://reports.internic.net/cgi/who...om&type=domain

I couldn't find any other information about the site, so it may be bogus, or perhaps something sent by one of the eBay suppliers I ordered from.

I've been in Cockeysville since 1977. The houses date back to around 1877, when they were part of the old mill town of Warren, which was flooded in 1922 when the dam for Loch Raven Reservoir was completed. The land was part of the Noah Hedrick estate. I have copies of old deeds back to 1856. There appears to have been a lot of real estate dealings going on around that time. In 1872 a large plot was deeded to Thomas Todd by Joshua Cockey. Then various deeds up to 1884 involving Thomas Todd, George H Cole, Noah Hedrick, John A Kidd, and Daniel Hedrick. Also William and Mairanda Uhler, William H Johnson, William H Butcher, Charles Bosley, Francis W Curtis, William G Parks, Mildred E Tracey, and finally in 1949 to John L Nash, from whom I purchased my first house.

I've received junk mail after ordering from a few off-shore Ebay sellers. While the Ebay item is said to be in the US, the seller is located elsewhere. The item gets shipped from one of three (California, Washington, Kentucky-noted so far) distribution centers in the US but my PayPal payment is clearly shown to go off-shore. Apparently, there's several distributors catering to foreign sellers which allow them to sell from central US warehouses. Even though I always specify a US location on my searches, the foreign seller products show up because of the distributor location.

Sorry to get sidetracked. The point is; if you buy from off-shore sellers, they have access to your Ebay account info such as email, etc. The email address probably gets sold to other third parties. The junk email you received probably didn't come from Ebay and there's little chance of auditing the trail/source of your email address to file a complaint.

Just accept it as part of the price of the item(s) you order but don't blame Ebay.

The 5C collet set came in the other day from CDCO. I didn't realize they would all come individually sealed and in their own labeled containers.

Thanks JRouche, I own ya ~$43

That's how mine came. That's also why, when everyone was showing racks, I said I keep mine in the original container and lay them out in a drawer. My R8 set is the same way except for the 5-6 common sizes that came with my mill. I've been using those out of a tray.
