  • Abom79 Out on his own.

He posted a real short video earlier, he
    didn’t say what happened, I imagine we’ll
    find out soon.

I guess maybe it might help if we knew what the hell you're talking about.

      Who is we?

Well if you don’t know who Adam Booth is
      it probably wouldn’t matter anyway.

He’s not working for Motion Industries anymore apparantly.

Abom79 is a very large man who does very large machining... BIG hydraulic cylinders, large parts, etc. He work(s/ed) for a shop that did huge stuff, and allowed him to video much of what he was doing (?). He also has a home shop that would be the envy of many of us, including all the toys, etc.

He has a YouTube channel Abom79 that has a lot of machining videos... generally of a good length, good content, and nicely done. That helps explain why he has 260,000 subscribers. The video mentioned above is

                  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUpfpV3L0Dc

He seems like a fairly easy going guy with a quiet sense of humor. He has met with a lot of the other YouTube machining guys and they seem to have good interactions.

Adam Booth is a good guy, a manual machinist, so most of you should love him.

I suppose you could have led off with this:

I've been self-employed since 1989 - 30 years of being my own boss - and now living on SSA benefits and a few other sources. It pays to be frugal.

First Chucke, then Alec, now Adam.

Make the big bucks and move onto a big shop.

I'd be hard pressed to make more money and have more time off than what I do now, and if I had to make this kind of leap, it would be because of a disastrous event, like losing my medical. And it is that threat that I must seek additional sources of income...
