My sister got into golf when she got to be a captain in the USAF. She started to allow herself to win when she became a lt colonel.

I used to really like Chucke2009. Particularly his early videos when he was in school and trying stuff. I don't much care for the ChuckeFarmChannel though. I have him on my subscription list, but if its not a welding video I just ignore it. Flair is in the same category, but the fast forward button allows me to see the minimal fishing content in his videos without watching 20 minutes of "I bought another farm." His speech is a little hyper for my taste, but it doesn't set the hair on my neck on end.

I watch many sites listed and plan to look into several other suggestions. However, I don’t see myfordboy listed. Great foundry/casting content but lots of other stuff too. He’s a talker :-)
    Just kidding!

    Sometimes...

AvE, Abom79, Milliken Fishing, Flair, NYCCNC, Tormach, This Old Tony, Forgotten Weapons, Made in Poland, Make it Extreme, Taofladermous, Lehto's Law, Roland Martin, Alec Steele, Ben Tardiff (not so much anymore), Alex French Guy Cooking, and often a smattering of what shows up on suggested videos.

Usually I watch on the big screen TV with the Amazon Stick and YouTube ap while I am taking care of household chores. This allows me to ignore stuff I'm not interested in or fast forward with the remote when they are spending 20 minutes talking about unrelated stuff.

My single most rewatched video is probably the big vise build by Make it Extreme. I just find it to be a really well edited and mesmerizing bit of video. Its mesmerizing in the same way as when you find just the right speed and feed to peel a huge amount of steel off a piece of 4140 round bar on the lathe. Its some how very satisfying to watch. Probably doesn't hurt that YouTube modestly often plays it as the next video when I just let the stick Ap autoplay whatever it thinks should be next.

Here is a list of my A - L faves, leaving out the big names (Abom79) etc...

AgentJayZ Disassembly, reassembly, running of Jet Engines. Big ones. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCh5...SElDpzgCDLh9KA

Brian Rupnow Small engines, lots of machining
    https://www.youtube.com/user/BrianAngusRupnow/videos

Build Something Cool Used to be Metal Tips and Tricks, then he moved, got a sponsor (which seems to have ended), and tried to change his direction. Now he might be going back to what he had been.
    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCor...zyQnfNCdMRNFnQ

Burton’s Attic He had me at the rebuild of the Rockwell/Delta 11/40 Lathe… Good machining
    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWQ...HReGBVQ/videos

Chris Annin If you want to make a 6 axis robot he has the videos and free plans.
    https://www.youtube.com/user/usernam...ailable/videos

College Machinist I don’t think there has been any new material for 4 years. There are 50 videos of basic machining skills that are pretty good. I think it was a machine shop class series.
    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxM...iVbVQNQ/videos

Ca Lem A Vietnamese (?) machinist who does a heck of a lot with relatively basic tools. He is slowly building up his shop by restoring old tools and does some nifty stuff with it.
    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPD...3LscU_Q/videos

Dan Gelbart Another channel that has been dead for years. There are 18 good videos on basic prototyping skills in the shop.
    https://www.youtube.com/user/dgelbart/videos

Edge Precision A professional machinist and his CNC machine make stuff. Some of it is very specialized. Sometimes it’s just fun to watch chips flying. Other videos are about cutter grinding, etc.
    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCk...PY7OMxQ/videos

EL METAL RaymondMenendez A Spanish (?) machinist who uses his MASSIVE horizontal mill to make everything from 1 ton machine parts to tiny jewelers vices. I love watching his work holding and setup techniques – very different.
    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8_...nvZwJnw/videos

Engineer BrunS A Russian (?) machinist in a tiny basement makes all sorts of stuff, including some fun videos. He’s the Cyrillic “This Old Tony”. Most of it is in Russian but he is starting to do some English videos, and it’s mostly subtitled.
    https://www.youtube.com/user/Angel65Pain/videos

Gbritnell If you ever wanted to see a working model of a Case baling machine that fits in your hand, this is the guy !! (I don’t know if it can knot the baler twine). Other small engines and models.
    https://www.youtube.com/user/gbritnell/videos

Haas Automation If you have $100,000 laying around and want to have some REAL FUN… I learn things that I can use on regular hand machining, but mostly this is just dream stuff.
    https://www.youtube.com/user/haasautomation/videos

Hill Top Machine Shop His shop is insulated with blown foam… it looks like he works in a cave. He seems like “our sort of people”. Manual lathes, mills, etc. PLUS A PUPPY.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJQeZDoy8xs

Home Metalworking Fairly active up until 1 year ago, and now seems dormant. Lots of videos on sharpening mill cutters, slitting saws, drill bits.. Lots of how to make shop accessories – soft jaws, tapping stand, low profile clamps for the mill, etc.
    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyB...N0MakHQ/videos

Keith Appleton I’m surprised nobody mentioned this guy. He does an almost daily video on making, rebuilding, or some other aspect of small steam engines. Everything from small wobble engines to 5” wheel base steam locomotives.
    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCge...IH5MZQn0aRd1mg

Keld Sorensen Home machinist who has a number of different video series on how to make a 2” beltsander, tailstock dieholder, etc.
    https://www.youtube.com/user/keldsor/videos

Kosmos Horology Horology – making clocks. Possibly defunct. He was putting out videos fairly regularly until 2 years ago, and he left off at “Making gears without machines Part 1”. Worth watching what is there.
