  • Excellent Mallet for Lathe or Mill

This is a mallet I've been using for 8 yrs for fine tuning peices on Lathe or Mill works great ,doesn't mark your work.I have tryed rubber mallets but much prefer this it gives a sharp blow when adjusting work.It only 200 g or 7.4 oz. I think it's made out of UHMW,I had bought a grey colored one but it shattered.

There's one in the picture above that looks like it came off the bottom of a lake. I bet he'd let you have for five.

just to mess with their minds.

Why pay 6 bucks when hammers grow on trees?

Split head rawhide hammers are very nice.

Old bowling pins make pretty good no-mar mallets. Hard to miss with one.

                            Here's another option:

                            https://www.harborfreight.com/search...0blow%20hammer

They come in several sizes from 1 lb. to 4 lb. I have several around the shop. I originally was using my Snap On one from days past. When it finally gave up I went to order another. I almost had a heart attach when I found out the 24 oz. size was $55.00. For 6 bucks the HF ones work just fine.

                              You meant $nap on, right?
