  • What the heck is this in my car?

I think it is a tracking device. This car supposedly was a fleet vehicle prior...

I was going to tell you --- whatever you do - do not snip the red one,,, if you already did you may still have time to pitch it into your neighbors yard... let us know what's going on...

Definitely a tracking device. Asset protection was probably the primary goal and likely not monitored after being cut from the fleet.

Maybe the brides keeping an eye on him, and perhaps slightly relieved to find out that all the missing money was just ending up at the local pub for happy hours lol

If it is a tracker, I am surprised that removing it did not disable the vehicle.

And if you look REAL close at an analog signal,
You will find that it has discrete steps.

No other wires were connected so it sounds like it was just being used to track and no other peripherals were engaged...

anotherwords, she did not want to disable his vehicle because then for sure he'd get suspicious...

The fcc I'd shows that it is a radio device, the cdma shows that it is using a cellular network... If I found one of those on my truck, the attorney general would hear about it

Someone should attach one of those to Jtiers.

                      Where was it?

At least now you only have your cellphone to worry about. Maybe.

I've got one pickup that used to be a municipal fleet vehicle that has one still installed.
I want them to know where I'm at. It's only fair.

don't most new vehicles have GPS/ black boxes in them nowadays? Certainly anything equipped with Onstar or the like. Jim

Clint Eastwood had one of those in his truck,
the drug Lords were watching him,
and, didn't appreciate it when he stopped for a fling at a cheap motel..........

That looks like it was for a location/mileage beacon only. You may want to keep that and use it yourself. If the car is worthy of theft, that is.
