    Lasers Drive Nano Locomotive

    November 22, 2004

A researcher from Texas A&M University and Fudan University in China has designed a laser-powered molecular locomotive that runs along a molecular track and can generate a pulling force ten times greater than that of kinesin, a biological molecular motor.

Got to be N gauge as in NANO GUAGE
Forty plus years and I still have ten toes, ten fingers and both eyes. I must be doing something right.

Kinda like the plans for the star drive with the fixed laser on the moon that tracks the rear of the spacecraft exciting the rocket motor.

I just gotta get back into model railroading now that there's a gauge/scale where a whole layout will fit on my shirt button. But does it have a whistle and smoke?

            Whoo, whooo!

Whistle and smoke? Sure. But the whistle is in the gigaherzt range and the smoke is individual atoms from time to time.
