  • Hydraulic pump identification

    Can anyone tell me anything about a Borg Warner hydraulic gear pump? serial # P26DH21R01 has "T17" inside a circle and "20" inside a diamond stamped on it. also has 7 65K. I tried to find Borg Warner but could not get the page to open.
    Appriciate any help you can give me!

    That is actually a desciption,P=pump
    2=size
    6=gpm
    DH=pump series
    21= porting(I think)
    R=rotation
    01?
    Doing this from memory,I'll look and see what the book says tomorrow.
    I just need one more tool,just one!

      Thanks for the info! Will it make a decent pump for a shop press with a 3 inch dia. cylinder? I know next to notheing about hydralics!

        It will if it has a high enough effeciency to pump high pressure at a low rpm.

        Reason being 6gpm is a lot for a shop press,it would also require 6hp to deliver that gpm at 1500 psi.
        Since 3gpm would be better for your application you could reduce the speed inhalf and with the same hp produce 3gpm at 3000psi,right around where you need it.

        If it were me,I would use the pump motor setup for fast travel and through the use of a check valve add on a hand pump for fine control.
