  • Swivel fitting for hose reel

I would like one of the hose reels for my oxy/acetylene rig, but am having a hard time parting with the money for one. I think I can make one alot cheaper, but I either need to find a dual in/out swivel fitting, or make one. Does anybody have an idea on the tolerances required to make such a fitting? I know they use o-rings, but I ain't looking to make any loud booms here. Thanks in advance.

    Arbo,

Maybe you could phone a company that sells the reels and ask if they have a swivel replacement part for sale. Here's such a company:

    I'm sure there are others.

    edit:

Here's a manual for one that shows the parts breakdown. If you want, use this (or others) as a rough go-by for your own plan.
