  • Digital calipers

On digital calipers that advertise having a printer output port, could this be used for a readout mounted for easier viewing on a small milling machine? What kind of readout would be used if possible? I've seen mountings using calipers which would be fine for small work but you not only need to be a machinist but a contortionist as well to read them.
    Thanks Melvin

    Melvin:
If you are talking about the SPC port - it is not a printer port, but a statistical data port for quality control use. Mitutoyo has some printers for their equipment and interfaces to PCs, but I have not seen a direct readout for them. There are readout boxes for some digital AGD indicators - these are more expensive than a actual DRO for your machine.
