i too could'nt make head or tales of setting up to cut a 31 tooth clock gear for a friendtill i read it in old book Shop Theory by Henry Ford Trade School copyrite 1934 and reprinted 1941 it gave examples and step by step so my old brain could follow it hope this will help some one. mickm
